Our week in San Clemente, CA
We had a great week with Gus, Cami and AJ. We were able to hang out with them, babysit, look at condo's and eat together. Steve and I took a side trip to the San Juan Capistrano Mission also. Our last evening we went to Gus and Cami's church harvest festival. The weather was awesome. Warm and clear. We felt so blessed to have this bit of time to spend with their family doing every day things. AJ was always ready with a smile and seemed to love all the attention. Isn't AJ the cutes Yoda ever........ Hope you can open the video of AJ in his jumper. See more pics of the week at our link.....photos

Pa & Grammy Score: 5 boys-1 girl
Gus, Cami and AJ flew home for a long weekend. What a joy to have all of us together for Owen's 1st birthday and Steve's ____ birthday. We loved having some one on one time with AJ for several days. Our littlest Ferreira is growing so fast. Steve read the sports page to AJ Sunday morning. We were able to get a quick pic of the gang all together.

Camping at Clark's Fork
This weekend Steve and I spent 3 nights at Clark's Fork. This brought back so many happychildhood memories for me. Growing up this was a favorite camping spot for our family. Fishing, gold panning, and hiking. The campsite has changed a lot, hiking along the Clark Fork River gave me a great sense of peace. Remembering the good times and cherishing the people who were a part of that time. I even attempted and succeeded to cross the river on a fallen tree. I felt 16 again until I had to lift myself over a fallen tree, or wade across the current. Steve and I biked quite a bit and I am finally starting to understand how to shift gears when going up a hill....but I have to admit I love the feeling of gliding downhill. I read today in my devotion that God has given me the ability to recall memories of loved one, not so that I can live in the past, but so that I will be blessed and uplifted now. My weekend with Steve was made brighter through my remembrances, but each day is a fresh opportunity to create new memories. "I will not forget you." Isaiah 49:15We were visited by Chip and Dale each afternoon looking for snacks. They would chase each other and play around our campsite.

A Day with Thomas the Train
Grammy and Pa took the three oldest grandchildren (Clayton,Gracie, and Riley) on the Thomas the Train. We spent a few days at our favorite RV camping spot in Felton, outside Santa Cruz. Stacey and Alan had a spot next to us with their trailer. We enjoyed spending time with them taking hikes and enjoying the outdoors with the kids.

4th of July 2008
We had a wonderful long weekend in Dorrington, CA. We stayed at the Clayton cabin and Pa and I took our trailer for extra sleeping space. We enjoyed watching our 6 grandchildren interact, love on and wrestle with each other. Kiss and take away toys. We played games and went to the river to cool off. There was a parade in nearby Arnold and an art festival. God has Blessed us abundantly and we are so grateful for the time we can spend with all of them together. We never got a picture of all 6, but we got some great pics of them during the time that we will treasure.More pics at our photo site.

THE HULK
Pa and Grammy had such fun giving Clayton his HULK gloves. We boxed them in a sleeping bag box to full him. He had asked us for these gloves. He told us they were at Target, in the kids section. And.....there are 3 targets in Modesto. So of course, we had to get these. When he opened the sleeping bag box....he said "YOU remembered". Warmed our hearts. Such small things can make a Grammy and Pa beam with JOY...
We also tried taking short video. SO hopefully you will be able to see Scott playing with the HULK gloves and chasing the kids around our kitchen. The video is the middle picture.
