Camping at Clark's Fork

This weekend Steve and I spent 3 nights at Clark's Fork. This brought back so many happychildhood memories for me. Growing up this was a favorite camping spot for our family. Fishing, gold panning, and hiking. The campsite has changed a lot, hiking along the Clark Fork River gave me a great sense of peace. Remembering the good times and cherishing the people who were a part of that time. I even attempted and succeeded to cross the river on a fallen tree. I felt 16 again until I had to lift myself over a fallen tree, or wade across the current. Steve and I biked quite a bit and I am finally starting to understand how to shift gears when going up a hill....but I have to admit I love the feeling of gliding downhill. I read today in my devotion that God has given me the ability to recall memories of loved one, not so that I can live in the past, but so that I will be blessed and uplifted now. My weekend with Steve was made brighter through my remembrances, but each day is a fresh opportunity to create new memories. "I will not forget you." Isaiah 49:15We were visited by Chip and Dale each afternoon looking for snacks. They would chase each other and play around our campsite.
